He has not ben voted by the corporate, though he (his party) is being financed (primarily) by multibillion firms. He is not thus loyal to the people he owes the job to, but to the cash inflows.
Cynical as this may seem, it is not an expression of democracy at least in the way we've been sold into.
Why shouldn't we turn this on its head and govern under the principle "what's good for the citizens it is good for the business". And I mean most citizens.
